Looks like iTunes/iPod video is taking off even faster than I expected. Two items from MacNN today:
Meanwhile, I bought a trial Galactica episode — the Season One opener, "33" — just to see what the video quality was like, and I was pleasantly surprised. The standard frame size is pretty small, but even when I blew it up to triple size, it didn't seem noticeably grainy or pixelated. The 44-minute episode checks in at just under 200 MB, which isn't as bad as I feared but will certainly necessitate off-computer storage in the long run. All in all, satisfying enough that Apple can expect some repeat business from me.
