MaggieCa says, "well it is kind of like every thing else in
this world. There are good points and bad points of the idea"

JoeSa says, "If he cant do it in the US, he'll go to some
other country"

AndrewGo says, "Well, all negative inventions, we need a good one"
JoeSa says, "technology is debated only when discussing moral
issues..."
MaggieCa says, "true"
JoeSa says, "but who's to set the moral standards?"
JoeSa says, "We cant say that everyone should be Christian or
Hindu or Buddhist or Athiest etc"

JoeSa says, "I dont know.."
NickSm says, "should there be regulations or maybe a committee
to decide what is "good" to study?"
AndrewGo says, "Nothing, the advancement of knowledge is
never-ending"
JoeSa says, "but should that commitee be different for every
religion, country, or race?"
AndrewGo says, "A little pessismistic and optimistic at the
same time"
AndrewGo says, "I can not spell"

MaggieCa says, "no one knows and so we are going to continue
inventing things without considering the consequences"
NickSm says, "it's really hard to say. On one end, people
should be allowed to pursue their interests, but on the other hand, we must consider what is dangerous or menacing to any other person in the world."
JoeSa says, "to answer Mr. Cole's question.. I think its
impossible to only make "good"discoveries"

AndrewGo says, "Well, ask Albert Einsten that, he helped
invent the atom bomb but he also discovered much of modren physics"
MaggieCa says, "and that is exactly the proplem no one does
consider others before making advancements"
MaggieCa says, "is that a word?"
NickSm says, "how can u stop people from never making "bad"
discoveries like the a-bomb and such?"
JoeSa says, "I dont need physics to live a happy life"
AndrewGo says, "Also many advancements are accidents in themselves"

certain things happen"

MaggieCa says, "now people are trying to control science though"
JasonOg says, "we do not invent science, it is always there,
the question comes on how we use it"
NickSm says, "and we are part of nature."
AndrewGo says, "In the case of cloning, it was funded by the
government, because they thought it would be 'good'"
JoeSa says, "I used a Jurassic Park example in my homework"
MaggieCa says, "yes, but our machines aren't a part of nature"
JoeSa says, "as if the government decides what is good"
NickSm says, "it has some good quotes for this kind of discussion"

and some detrimental"

of credentials set that our leaders have to meet"

and it might just be a fatal one for them or us"

to advance though"

for, why can't we be optimistc about it"
